In a recent jobThe protocol also commits to continuing to send donations throughout Donald Trump’s presidency after he takes office.
Orbiter is not the only crypto company sponsoring Trump’s inauguration. According to the PolicyMajor crypto companies including Ripple, Coinbase, Kraken and Robinhood have donated at least $10 million to Trump’s inaugural fund to welcome the new pro-crypto president-elect to the Oval Office.
Prior to the donation announcement, Orbiter said it would release its governance token, OBTon Trump’s inauguration day.
The protocol has allocated approximately 40% of the token’s total supply to community airdrops. As before reported per crypto.news, 22% of eligible users will initially receive 22% of this allocation. The remaining 3% of the airdrop will then be distributed monthly over a six-month period.

Coincidentally, before his inauguration, Trump had launched his own same corner $ASSET (ASSET) on January 18. The $TRUMP token accumulated a market capitalization of over $10 billion within 24 hours of its launch.
Former Coinbase CTO Balaji Srinivasan had exhorted the president-elect to distribute $TRUMP tokens by airdrop to every American citizen via a mailing list. He believes a massive airdrop could sway Democrats into supporting Trump’s presidency as well as his pro-crypto policies.
