Kazakhstan’s president calls for urgent expansion of crypto infrastructure
Kazakhstan plans to extend legal cryptography operations, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev calling for urgent changes to improve the country’s infrastructure for digital assets.

Talk to a government meetingTokaev stressed that the country must adapt quickly to the new technological landscape. He stressed that many crypto users in Kazakhstan are still working in what he called the “gray zone”. According to Takaev, only around 5% of cryptographic investors use regulated platforms such as those of the International Financial Center in Astana (for example, Galaxy Digital, Skybridge Digital Finance and Swiftex, among others).

The Kazakhstan financial guard dog has also intensified his efforts against illegal cryptography exchanges. In 2024, the country closed 36 illegal platforms with a combined turnover of 60 billion ten years (around 112.84 million dollars).
Like crypto.News reported Earlier, regulators also blocked access to more than 3,500 non -registered cryptography negotiation sites, working with the National Security Committee and the Ministry of Culture and Information.
