Circle officially adds native USDC on Aptos mainnet
Circle’s digital dollar, USD Coin, is now available on the Blockchain Layer-1 Aptos, autonomizes developers and users.
USDC (USDC) Go natively to the Aptos (Apt) About two months after Circle announced that the stablecoin would be launched on the LAYER-1 blockchain based on the move. This initial update, which crypto.News reported In November 2024, also included the upcoming integration of the Circle cross -transfer protocol.
In his last announcementThe Stablecoin transmitter has confirmed that the native part of use and the cross -transfer protocol are now live on Aptos. Native availability allows users and developers to use the USD part directly without relying on transverse bridges.
This also allows financial institutions and the larger Aptos user community to take advantage of USD parts liquidity in various applications, including decentralized finance, peer payments, real assets, discounts and games.
Aptos previously used a bridged version of the USD part of Layerzero, broadcast in Lzusdc. This form of stablecoin was not issued by Circle but was sanded by Ethereum via the Aptosbridge on Layerzero.
With the native support now in place, suppliers of bridges such as Stargate, which is built on Layerzero, will collaborate with the Aptos ecosystem to facilitate the migration of Lzusdc in the native piece of use.
The Circle cross -transfer protocol will allow interoperability suppliers to offer USD parts transfers to different blockchains. This is similar to what the holes of the interoperability protocol has implemented.
On January 30, the platform announcement that he had joined the Circle cross -transfer protocol on Aptos, allowing developers to activate native USD parts transfers in their decentralized applications “with only 3 lines of code”.
Aptos -based protocols that draw from this functionality include Cellana’s finance, the level of the echelon, the meso and the Thala laboratories, among others.
