Crypto Exchange Kraken appointed Ben Gray, a former World Advocate General of Paxos, as a new Legal Director -in Chief.

Cryptocurrency exchange based in the United States Kraken Hired Ben Gray as a new Legal Director -in Chief to strengthen his legal team. In a blog adThe exchange said that Gray will oversee the management of legal, compliance and business risks.

Before joining Kraken, Gray worked as a world general lawyer in PaxosA blockchain company known to emit stablescoins for Paypal, and also worked with Binance. His appointment comes at a crucial moment for Kraken, who has been the subject of increased control of regulators.

In 2023, the American Commission for Securities and Exchange has filed a legal action Against Kraken, accusing the exchange of illegal titles operations. The SEC says Kraken has worked as an exchange of securities without registering with the regulator, accusing him of winning hundreds of millions of dollars while ignoring the laws on the protection of investors.
