Hong Kong’s SFC ramps up crypto oversight with new staff


The LTP obtained five key licenses from Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, positioning itself as a regulated leader in industry.

THE licenseGiven to its subsidiary of Hong Kong LiquidityTech Limited, covers a wide range of regulated activities.

With these approvals, the HK LTP becomes the first leading brokerage focused on virtual assets on several regulated activities. Licenses allow the company to serve institutional customers, in particular owner commercial companies, hedge funds, asset managers and business investors.

Different types of licenses

These include type 1 license for Treating titleswhich allows the company to facilitate the purchase and sale of financial instruments on behalf of its customers.

In addition, the HK LTP obtained the type 2 license to process the term contracts. This authorization allows the company to engage in transactions involving agreements to buy or sell assets on predetermined future dates, offering customers risk management opportunities and speculative strategies.

The type 4 license, which concerns the advice on titles, allows the HK to offer tailor -made investment advice to customers seeking to optimize their portfolios. Associated with type 5 license to advise on term contracts, the company can now provide complete advice in traditional and virtual asset classes.

Finally, the company obtained the type 9 license for the management of assets. This license allows the HK to manage investment portfolios on behalf of customers, emphasizing the achievement of specified financial objectives thanks to a strategic allocation of resources.
