Ethereum devs find hotfix for Petra upgrade bug on sepolia
The most ambitious upgrade of Ethereum since its transition to bugs in the face of proof of proof on two main time tests, but the developers have corrected the two.
After difficulties in Holesky, Ethereum (Ethn) The pectra update has encountered more roadblocks on the Sepolia test. Tim Beiko, leader of the protocol support for the Ethereum Foundation, said that the developers had already discussed the bug.
Petra was broadcast on Sepolia on March 5, signaling the general rehearsal of the greatest hard fork of Ethereum after the merger. Beiko explain That the obstacle came from a bug with the personalized deposit contract of Sepolia.
The transfer and filing actions of the Bogue bug transaction instead of grouping data in a single blockchain message. According to Beiko, the developers of ETH corrected the problem about six hours after the deployment of Pectra on the Testnet.
“The validators have already upgraded and the chain now works normally,” tweeted Beiko on X. He added that “it is possible that some explorers, wallets or other infrastructure providers have problems until they also improve their nodes.”
Etherscan, the first Ethereum Explorer block Explorer, confirmed that Sepolia has resumed the production of blocks with the transaction regulations.
Sepolia was the second testnet shifted by the Pectra trial. In February, an erroneous validator by mistake divided the Holesky network, forcing the developers to debug the upgrade and to design a fix.
Holesky and Sepolia are the last bus stops for the Pectra hard fork before the deployment of Mainnet. The developers initially planned to reveal the upgrading of the primary chain of Ethereum by early April, but delays can be announced after obstacles in time tests.
