Ethereum launches new testnet Hoodi to wrap up Pectra testing
Ethereum launches the Hoodi Testnet, with Pecctra set to be online on the Mainnet more than 30 days after Hoodi’s success.
The deployment of Ethereum Pectra is imminent, currently scheduled for Mainnet deployment for the end of April. In the magnitude of the Mainnet, Ethereum deployment (Ethn) has executed tests to assess the implementation of its various features on fabric tests. Both plus recent test deployments were on Holesky on February 24, then Sepolia on March 5. On March 17, Ethereum will launch another hoodi testnet to test the validator exists, according to the developer Ethereum Beiko team. If the tests on Hoodi succeed, Pectra can be deployed on the Mainnet 30+ days after Hoodi Forks.
The introduction of account abstraction (EIP-7702), which will allow users to pay transaction costs with parts like USD Coin (USDC) Instead of ETH. In addition, the upgrade will deploy the implementation improvements (EIP – 7251), which will increase the implementation limit of the validator from 32 to 2048 ETH.
Apart from the EIP-7702 and the EIP-7251, which are the Key factors in the upgrade of pectraThe other main EIPs include EIP-7691, EIP-7623, EIP-2537 and EIP-7549. EIP-7691 offers an update to improve the scalability of transactions and reduce the congestion of the network. The EIP-7623 aims to improve confidentiality by allowing users to hide certain details of the transaction. The EIP-2537 focuses on optimizing contract execution, reducing gas costs and improving the effectiveness of intelligent contract operations. EIP-7549 seeks to improve interoperability between different Ethereum Layer 2 networks.
