VeChain gets MiCAR nod for VET and VTHO whitepapers

Crypto.com grabs provisional MiCA license

Vechain announced that his tokens were in accordance with European regulations after being confirmed in the European Securities and Markets Authority.

Vechain (VETERINARIAN), the blockchain for decentralized applications of the real world, shared the milestone in a announcement March 18.

More specifically, the veterinarian of the vechain tokens and the vethor token are now in accordance with the markets in the cryptocurrency register, or a lady. It was after Vechain submitted Vet and Vtho Whitepapers to the European Securities and Markets Authority, who informed the platform of this registration.

According to Vechain, the milestone goes beyond regulatory compliance and transparency. On the contrary, Micar is one more step towards traditional adoption.

“This achievement sees the VET and VTHO tokens in accordance with European regulations within the framework of the unified microphone, allowing operations to continue and develop between the EU member states,” wrote the Vechain team.

With the Micar Framework in place, Vechain will be able to pass its services and operations in the 27 EU member states. Indeed, the regulations, effective since June 2023, has standardized cryptographic regulations for the block, that aimed at improving market integrity and protecting investors.

The ESMA, the Micar regulatory guard dog, published its central register for white assets of digital assets last year. The date of entry into force of the complete markets in the regulation of cryptographic assets was December 30, 2024. Vechain operated its framework to request compliance for VET and VTHO.

The Micar Framework adopts a parasitic implementation, with this going beyond 2025 and until 2026. As such, Vechain has a strategic advantage which could see it exploit the opportunity to bring its X-2-Bearn program to users of the EU.

X-2-Bearn is an initiative focused on sustainability inciting users by allowing them to win tokens with verifiable sustainable actions.
