Dubai’s financial regulators open registrations for cryptographic companies to participate in the first regulatory sand tank for the country’s tokenization, from March 17 to April 24.

According to the site manager announcementThe Sandbox is an initiative launched by the DFSA to facilitate cryptographic companies wishing to explore token investment products and services in a controlled environment. The program will take place in the Dubai International financial center.

THE sandbox serves as a regulatory course for cryptographic companies, allowing them to take their products and services from the experimentation phase to receive a complete authorization from the DFSA. Thanks to this program, the financial authorities will expand the scope of its innovation tests License Include tokenized investments.

The sandbox consists of two phases. The first is the expression of interest, in which companies can officially communicate their intention to develop token products and services within the DIFC. The second phase will bring them in the tokenization cohort of innovation test licenses, where they can test tokenization products and services through the program.

Cryptographic companies wishing to participate in the Sandbox program can submit an expression of interest to the DFSA before April 24, 2025.

THE Tokenization The regulatory sandbox is open to companies that seek to offer customers tokenization financial services, which include companies issuing, translating or holding token investment products, companies approved by the DFSA that seek to dive into tokenization and companies with a strong understanding of the necessary legal and regulatory requirements.

Companies that have already established commercial models and a regulatory understanding will be invited to participate in the regulatory sandbox for the DFSA tokenization. They will then receive specific regulatory support and structured test possibilities.
