Marina Abramović partners with TAEX for new gamified NFT collection

The Serbian performance artist, Marina Abramović, joined forces with Digital Marketplace Taex to publish three new NFT drops which symbolize various elements of his work.

According to Artnet reportAbramović decided to go back to the blockchain with a new Nft Project entitled Marina Abramović Element or Mae. The project marks its return to web3 Sphere since her first company in 2021 when she offered her art of art from 2001 the hero as a collection NFT.

For his latest project, Abramović collaborates with the digital market Taex To publish three NFT on the theme imbued with interactive features which present different aspects of the artist’s work over the years. Inspired by a fictitious history created by Abramović, the project will take place from May until September 2025.

The first nft drop revolves around the theme of art, exploring the symbols and archetypes of the artistic practice of Abramović. The second drop is called Life, who shows how she uses different locations, gestures and outfits in her works. Finally, the last drop of NFT will be called the Marina Abramović method, in which she presents her self -discovery trip by establishing Marina Abramović Institute in 2023.

Each drop of NFT will include different formats and rarity levels. Ordinary for fixed images, rare for loop and epic animations for loop animations that are adapted in real moon cycles.

In addition to the three NFT drops, traders can also collect what is called transformation crystals by playing specifically designed games. The second drop NFT will be delivered with a game called Maze, while the game Counting Crystals will be launched alongside the third drop. Collectors will be able to win transformational crystals from these two games.

By holding transformational crystals, participants will be able to strike a MAE 5D performance in a limited edition and NFT Avatar MAE 5D.

After the last drop, Mae will commemorate the end of his collection in November with an event entitled The Great Mint, where NFT collectors will be able to experience the last NFT of the project, the Mae token.

The MAE token will be released in the form of video works and animations that show the digital avatar of Abramović performing new iterations of his famous pieces.

However, in order to strike the MAE token, traders must first have collected the three epic NFTs from the previous drops and a transformation crystal or three rare NFTs and a transformation crystal.
