Pakistan taps Binance founder CZ as advisor to National Crypto Council
Pakistan has appointed the founder of Binance Changpeng Zhao as a strategic advisor to his new Pakistani crypto council.
CZ appointment has been announced during his visit to Islamabad, where He met With key officials, including the Prime Minister, the Minister of Finance, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, and the heads of the Central Bank and the Securities Commission.
The PCC, operating under the finance division, aims to develop a regulatory and educational framework for digital assets in Pakistan.
“Pakistan is a country of 240 million people, more than 60% of whom are less than 30 years. The potential here is unlimited,” said CZ.
He will advise on cryptographic regulations, infrastructure, adoption and development of talents.
The involvement of the CZ with other countries
Last week, the Kyrgyzstan National Investment Agency sign A memorandum of understanding with Zhao. The agreement focused on the development of blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure in the country.
The two parties agreed to collaborate on infrastructure, training and consulting services.
Pakistan Minister of Finance described this last “historic moment” decision showing the opening of Pakistan to innovation.
CEO of CPC, Bilal Bin Saqib, said that CZ management would help Pakistan emerge as a regional leader in blockchain and digital finance.
