Matter Labs sued by BANKEX over alleged theft of technology
Matter Labs, the company behind the solution of Ethereum Layer-2 Zksync, faces a trial of Bankex.
Bankex, a blockchain company now missing, is alleging Intellectual property theft involving early plasma technology.
The complaint, filed with the Supreme Court of New York State, accuses the former employees of Bankex, Alexandr Vlasov and Petr Korolev, of having diverted the owner code to build material laboratories.
According to the trial, the two developers worked on plasma -based software at Bankex when they secretly divert the company’s resources to develop material laboratories.
The file alleges that they have secretly stored code bases and transferred Bankex technology while being on the company’s wage bill.
Bankex and plasma
Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum (Ethn),, initially ordered Bankex in 2017 to help build Plasma, a framework for scaling Ethereum. The co-founder and CEO of Matter Labs, Alex Gluchowski, the venture capital company Dragonfly, and the former member of the board of directors Chris Burniske are also appointed in the costume.
