This program develops the previous collaboration of Coinbase with Cantina, which included key components audits such as webauthn modules, verified pools and Nitro validators, among others. These previous opinions define the basics of a larger free access program which now includes basic intelligent contracts and other chain systems.
The launch also arrives at a time when security remains an absolute priority for Coinbase. In May, the company had to face high -level data break involving united support staff. Rather than paying the ransom of the attackers, Coinbase has created a reward fund of $ 20 million for information that could help identify and continue officials.
The company has since taken several measures to improve internal controls and increase global safety standards. In addition to the work with Coinbase, Cantina has become a force majeure in web 3.
Its platform rationalizes workflows and reduces the number of low-value submissions by combining tools powered by AI with a sorting led by experts. Cantina has also hosted major programs like Uniswap (UNITED)) $ 15.5 million Bounty for version 4 of its protocol.
The new Bug Bounty reflects the continuous change of Coinbase to an open collaboration with security research community. It also widens the protection of the base, the ethereum of the company (Ethn) Layer 2 and complete similar efforts by optimism (Boost) to secure the OP battery.
