New Galaxy fund targets digital asset markets with risk-adjusted strategies
Galaxy Digital launched the Galaxy Absolute Return Fund, an actively managed investment vehicle to provide exposure to the digital asset ecosystem and adjacent disruptive technologies.
The Fund aims to generate Equity type yields while avoiding direct investments in cryptographic tokens.
Its multi-network strategy includes directional and non-directional positions, investing in listed stocks on the stock market, ETFFixed income derivatives and instruments.
By capitalizing on the ineffectiveness of digital asset markets, the fund aims to offer solid performance while maintaining a low correlation with bitcoin (BTC) and traditional clues such as S&P 500.
Risk adjustments
According to Galaxy, the fund will use an approach adjusted to the risk, using Long and short positions Cover against volatility. It also benefits from the vast research and risk management infrastructure of Galaxy.
All of the fund’s assets are negotiated on regulated and kept scholarships with traditional financial institutions, guaranteeing compliance with established financial guarantees.
The fund is led by Christopher Rhin, CFA, head of Liquid Active Strategies for Galaxy. The Rhine brings more than two decades of experience in the management of assets, having already held senior investment positions at Cohen & Steers and Blackrock.
