Kraken may know Satoshi’s identity: Coinbase director
Coinbase director Conor Grogan has hypothesized that Kraken and its founder, Jesse Powell, could have access to the true identity of Satoshi Nakamoto due to a 2016 acquisition.
This week, the Arkham Blockchain Data Provider indexed About 22,000 portfolios would be checked by the pseudonym Bitcoin (BTC) Creator Satoshi Nakamoto.
While Grogan questioned The use of the Patoshi model, a specific mining routine that some people believe that Satoshi has used, the Coinbase director recognized the merits of Arkham research, declaring that the report provided new evidence of early Bitcoin activity.
One of the portfolios highlighted by Arkham and confirmed by Grogan is among the few public addresses of which Satoshi has passed BTC.
Portfolios are linked to a registered withdrawal address at Cavirtex, an exchange of Canadian crypto. “I think this is the first link on a documented chain between a portfolio linked to Satoshi and a CEX,” wrote Grogan in a thread X.
Kraken, founded by Jesse Powell, acquired Cavirtex in 2016 and may have kept customer data from the exchange. This suggests that Kraken and Powell could potentially have access to the true identity of Satoshi. “My advice would be to delete the data,” added Grogan.
The Grogan survey has also linked one of Satoshi’s so -called Satoshi speeches to an active Bitcoin whale, whose assets are worth $ 3 billion at current prices.
The mystery surrounding the identity of Satoshi Nakamoto has persisted since the launch of Bitcoin 16 years ago. Figures like Craig Wright have won the title, but the community led by the community have repeatedly demystified such claims.
Meanwhile, many in cryptographic space believe that it is in the interest of Bitcoin for Satoshi Nakamoto to remain a legend of the faceless blockchain.
