Web3 reality show ‘Killer Whales’ returns with $1.5m fund, new judges
KillersThe TV show of Web3 Affairs 3, is expected to launch its second season on March 6, 2025, with episodes in difficulty on X and Hello TV.
A wider outing on Amazon Prime, Apple TV, Tubi and Google Play will follow in April.
Produced by Hello Labs, Coinmarketcap and Altcoinday, the show provides Web3 Startups with a platform to present their projects to a panel of industry investors and influencers, according to a note shared with Crypto.News.
$ 1.5 million funds
Applicants will compete with an incubation fund of $ 1.5 million and an accelerator package of $ 100,000 in CoinmarketCap. Projects that guarantee at least three votes “swim” out of five of the judges will qualify for funding.
The program claims a potential audience of 600 million in 65 countries. The jury of this season includes Mario Nawfal, Anthony Scaramucci, Garcy Chen, Wendy O, Ran Neuner and Altcoinday, with Thread Guy returning as host.
Hello Labs reports that 15% of the candidates of season 1 were acquired, collected funding or obtained significant expansion. Star projects included Wallet Guard, who was acquired By Consensys, and Apewater, which raised $ 2.5 million to an evaluation of $ 20 million. The first season of the show obtained an IMDB note of 8.5 and generated 120 million impressions on social networks.
The partners of the new season include Hacken, Bitget, Casper and Market through resources and mentoring to participants. The show aims to provide web 3 entrepreneurship in the consumer media with a format similar to traditional reality TV shows.
