Mexican Billionaire Ricardo Salinas allocates 70% of his portfolio to Bitcoin
The Mexican billionaire Ricardo Salinas revealed that 70% of his investment portfolio is allocated to Bitcoin’s assets.
The remaining 30% is invested in gold and actions for gold extraction companies, according to a Salinas interview With Bloomberg.
Salinas, who is president of Grupo Salinas – a conglomerate with interests covering telecommunications, media, financial services and retail – underlined his preference for these “most difficult assets” during the interview.
Salinas’ investment strategy is in particular unconventional, because it avoids traditional assets such as the obligations and external actions of companies.
He said: “I have no obligation, and I have no other actions than mine.” This approach underlines his commitment to the assets he perceives as more robust and reliable.
Salina’s love for BTC
A longtime lawyer For Bitcoin (BTC), Salinas has considerably increased its exposure to cryptocurrency over the years. In 2020, he revealed that 10% of his liquid portfolio was invested in Bitcoin, a figure that has since reached 70%.
