Ethereum devs launch Hoodi testnet to finalize Pectra testing
The developers of Ethereum plan to sleep the largest test test of the network, Holesky, which will be replaced by a new trial environment called Hoodi.
In a March 19 blogThe Ethereum Foundation has announced that it interrupts the Holesky Testnet after the network was paralyzed by the highly anticipated upgrade of Pectra last month.
The developers decided to depreciate Holesky after technical failures in February when Pectra was deployed for tests. The upgrade has broken the Holesky network, which makes its validators unusable for weeks.
EF engineers implemented a fix in March, but Holesky remained obstructed. A similar problem occurred on Sepolia, Ethereum (Ethn) second test environment, although the developers were able to find a hotfix. Developers use these testnets to simulate and debug network upgrades as Pectra before deploying them on Ethereum maint.
The Holesky network has since been finalized, but the left validators would take approximately a year to be completely removed from the whole of Validators. While stakers can test the deposits, consolidations and all other Pectra characteristics, the size of the output queue prevents the housediophysis from being used to test the life cycle of the complete validator within a reasonable time.

In the future, a new testnet called Hoodi will replace Holesky, said engineer EF Devops Paritosh Jayanthi and the basic coordinator EF Tim Beiko. The developers intend to test Pectra on Hoodi on March 26 as the general rehearsal before the beginnings of Mainnet. If the test takes place as planned, the EF could send Pecctra to the main channel of ETH by April 25.
