DIA launches Lumina to end blind trust in oracles
Dia has officially unveiled Lumina, a new modular oracle architecture based on Rollup designed to provide without confidence and verifiable data to blockchains.
Lumina was deployed on the Mainnet on March 26, 2025, Dia, which means decentralized information asset, noted in an ad.
The unveiling marks an important step which says that Dia says that “the era of blind confidence in the oracles is over.” In other words, the Mainnet launch of the Oracle Rollup Purpered solution in Lumina puts an end to the “Black-Box oracles”.
Instead provides transparency and verifiability to the supply and delivery of data. This means that developers, decentralized financing protocols and blockchain networks will no longer work in an opaque data processing environment. “More blind confidence in oracles” is the change that Dia Lumina aims to offer, according to Dillon Hanson, head of Dia business development.
“For years, oracles have been considered a necessary evil by many-a blockchain layer infrastructure, blockchain manufacturers had no choice but to trust. It stops now. Dia Lumina is not only another oracle stack. It is the first that does not ask you at all to trust it,” he added in a press release.
According to Dia, Lumina provides a solution that provides without confidence and verifiable oracles for decentralized finance and the active world market. These sectors treat billions of transactions between loans, derivatives and stages – use cases where oracles play a crucial role in the processing and verification of data.
But despite this growth, most inherited oracle platforms still work as suppliers “centralized and based on confidence”. Lumina’s design aims to change this by offering an architecture entirely on a chain which allows transparency.
“By putting each transaction, price flow and calculation on the chain, we are not only in competition with existing oracles – we make them obsolete,” said Hanson.
To offer these advantages, Lumina uses Lasernet, a modular 2 layer built using the optimistic Rollp battery of arbitrum and the data availability layer. This allows verifiable oracles with a public verification of low -cost data.
Ripple and Stellar are among the main networks to integrate the DIA Oracle solution for real chain assets and institutional adoption. Oracle platforms currently dominate industry include Chainlink, Pyth Network, Flare and API3.
