ZKSync recovers stolen funds after hacker accepts bounty
ZKSYNC has recovered more than $ 5 million from tokens after a pirate accepted a 10% bonus in exchange for the return of 90% of stolen assets.
On April 23, Zksync announced on X that the pirate had cooperated and returned the stolen tokens in the 72-hour “Safe Harbor” window. The ZKSYNC Security Council now holds the recovered tokens, and governance will decide what to do with it.
THE hackwhich took place on April 15, involved a compromised administration key which allowed the attacker to strike around 111 million ZK tokens, worth around 5 million dollars, from reserves of un demanded air departure.
