Vitalik Buterin confirms Ethereum’s layer 1 to scale tenfold within 12 Months
Vitalik Buterin announces that layer 1 of Ethereum should evolve approximately ten times in the next year, followed by a break before its subsequent major upgrade.
At La Prague and recently concluded, co-founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterin revealed that the layer 1 blockchain should undergo a significant upgrade over the next year. Answering questions about the objectives of Ethereum scalability, he said: “We should evolve L1 around 10x in the next year and a little.”
A key objective of the chronology is to adopt a regular approach to upgrade. Buterin highlighted the importance of “safe scaling”, stressing the need to balance scalability with the preservation of decentralization.
Buterin added that after upgrading, there will be a break period to assess the network before going to its next subsequent upgrade.
“At this point, it will be a good time to take a break and have rules to verify that we are well on the decentralization properties,” he noted, adding that the break will also give developers time to link the loose ends and refine key improvements.
Buterin’s statements are in response to recent questions about the sustainability of the Ethereum network through industry.
In a separate conversation with Clabs CTO and co-founder Marek Olszewski, the co-founder Ethereum added that incoming solutions will ensure improvements to the wider ecosystem.
“The increase in block sizes on layer 1 creates more space and facilitates the operation of layer 2 solutions safely,” he said.
The native token of Ethereum (Ethn) experienced a minimum price movement in the last 24 hours, displaying a minor gain of 0.03% to negotiate slightly greater than $ 2,500. Despite short -term stability, the ETH is still About 10% of its monthly summit.
