Moca Chain debuts as identity-focused L1 backed by Animoca ecosystem

Fragmented, redundant and crypto connects of the plague of the personal data exposed, but the Moca network says that its L1 powered by ZK aims to return the script. Lancing with the ecosystem of 700 million million animoca, it betrays on the verifiable references as the next infrastructure game.

On June 25, Moca Network, the identity focused on the identity of the animoca brands, the Mocca channel unveiled, a new layer 1 blockchain designed specifically for decentralized identity and verifiable data.

Built with zero knowledge of knowledge and cross interoperability, the network will allow users to store private identification information while proving it on applications without exposing raw information. A testnet is scheduled for the third quarter of 2025, with Mainnet to follow at Q4.

According to the announcement, the MOCA network builds specialized infrastructure for a decentralized identity, combining four basic technologies.

These include decentralized storage for user controlled data, ZKP-based verification to preserve confidentiality, ZKTL to extract real information without centralized intermediaries and an identity oracle to allow cross identification checks.

The objective of the modular identity layer is simple but ambitious: allow users to store identification information once – whether it is a KYC document, a university diploma or game achievements, and to reuse them on any application without repeatedly put personal data.

For developers, the MOCA channel offers an air kit, a plug-and-play identity tool box designed to integrate transparently with existing applications, wallets and protocols without the need to rebuild UX from zero.

Beyond privacy, the Moca chain bets that reusable identity can unlock economic value. Today, companies spend millions of people to verify users, while individuals have no advantage from their own data. By transforming identification information into portable active ingredients, moccs could rationalize compliance, allow new reward models and reduce fraud.

The Moca channel is also an experience in economics of tokens. At the heart of the network is the mocc, the utility token which feeds each action on the chain. Delivery, verification, storage and even generation of identification data via ZKTLs all moccs. Validators must play it to secure the network, while auditors pay with it to check the identification information.

According to the press release, the more the identification information is published and verified, the more the Moca is used – creating a request loop linked directly to the activity of the network.
