Cronos connects to 115 blockchains via LayerZero
Cronos, the decentralized blockchain developed by Crypto.com, integrated the Layerzero interoperability protocol, allowing transversal communication with more than 115 blockchain networks.
Is January. 31, Cronos Labs announcement This layer (Zro) was now live on the Cronos’ (Cro) EVM compatible and evidence of Zero Mainnets knowledge. This integration allows developers on Cronos to build bridges connecting to more than 115 blockchains, notably Ethereum and Solana.
Cronos EVM users can now transfer assets between the chain supplied by SDK Cosmos and several EVM compatible channels. The platform is also interoperable with the Solana ecosystem. Meanwhile, Cronos ZKEVM users can take advantage of the native Ethereum bridge to connect with other elastic channels.
The integration of Layerzero also allows transfers of crossed blocks between the Cronos Zkevm networks and various layers of layer 1 and layer 2.
“Transversal interoperability has been a major priority of the Cronos project since its creation. Given the significant security and liquidity problems associated with the fragmentation of the cryptographic industry, Cronos Labs runs on this priority with caution and determination, “said Ken Timsit, CEO of Cronos Labs.
Beyond the bridging of the tokens, Cronos Labs also explores the transverse prediction markets, the tokenization of assets, the trading of synthetic assets and the transversal loans. Growth plans include the deployment of decentralized financial applications for milestone and liquid replenishment.
Interoperability becoming more and more vital in the blockchain and crypto space, platforms such as Layerzero and Wormhole have become key suppliers. Ondo Finance, Defi.Money and Bitgo are among the projects taking advantage of Layerzero technology.
In July, Flare announced that it had joined the transversal messaging protocol in Connect to 75 blockchains.
